The Estacade and the Gouf
The Estacade is majestic, emblematic of Capbreton. This wooden projection, with a length of 189m60, dates from Napoleon. It marks the entrance to the port and guides boaters and fishermen in their navigation. Le Gouf is an underwater canyon which extends 300km long from the exit of the port of Capbreton and goes up to 4500m deep. This geological exception is at the heart of the region's activities, including surfing and fishing.
