November is Dance Month in the territory of the Community of Communes. Exhibitions, conferences, documentaries, shows, workshops, artist residencies will be held throughout the month. We are curious and we are awakening to the art of dance!

Cie Lamento “Journey to the end of boredom”
Friday 8/11 at 20:30 p.m. at the Espace Culturel Roger Hanin in Soustons.
Nothing is more frightening than the idea of being bored. And our era has developed many tools that allow us to escape it. But boredom is not necessarily something to flee from, it may even be a necessary airlock to creativity. Journey to the end of boredom is therefore an invitation to embark on an imaginary land of reverie, not unrelated to the time of childhood. And although we conceive of boredom as a solitary situation, the choreographer takes six dancers on the adventure, to identify its different aspects.
University of the Movement “Fragments”
Saturday 16/11 at 20:30 p.m. at the Espace Culturel Roger Hanin in Soustons
30 dancers. Fragments of choreographic phrases created to the rhythm of inspiration. Fragments of excerpts from improvisations. Fragments of repetitions scattered over time. Fragments of diverse aesthetics, dissimilar performers. Gilles Schamber brings together in these fragments the long-term adventure of a group of 30 adult amateurs, the UDMists, who come together to celebrate the movement and passion of dance.
Cie Mazelfreten “Memento”
Saturday 23/11 at 20:30 p.m. at the Espace Culturel Roger Hanin in Soustons
The writing of MEMENTO, the fourth creation of the eclectic group Mazelfreten, represents a turning point for the company that worked with Christine and the Queens, Stromae and Angèle. After the phenomenal success of "Rave Lucid", the dancers of MazelFreten deliver here their latest choreography crossing hip-hop and electro. Six dancers from China, Russia, Cape Verde, Japan and France communicate their enthusiasm as well as their openness to others. We are touched as much by the energy as by the gentleness and poetry that emanate from the whole. A dance that feels good!
Dantzaz
Tuesday 26/11 at 20:30 p.m. at the Roger Hanin cultural space in Soustons
Malandain Ballet Biarritz Partnership. As part of the “Dances in the Territories” program supported by the Ministry of Culture / DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
In this program, three choreographers noted on the international scene: the Greek Alexandros Stavropoulos, the Italian Giovanni Insaudo, himself a former dancer of the company and finally Chilean/Dutch Sarada Sarita coming from voguing and who for this creation asked Oreka Tx to write the musical score with their famous txalaparta.

In the Maremne Adour Côte Sud territory
Activities and promotion of the “Dance” Fund are planned in each media library in the area. Films, documentaries, workshops, meetings await you with Thierry Malandain au Saint Vincent de Tyrosse Cinema. Intergenerational workshops with Sarah Camiade will take place at the Ehpad and Alsh of Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse.
Throughout the month of november, the gallery of the Espace Culturel Roger Hanin unveils its photo exhibition "Dance Retrospective 2023". Admission is free during the opening hours of the media library.
